Located at the heart of Sector 4, Uttara, Dhaka, IHSB Uttara Preschool and Primary Section is devoted to providing high quality well – rounded education to its students of toddler to grade 5. Our students are taught in classrooms fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities which complement our curriculum in ensuring their holistic development. The presence of a spacious playground, football field and basketball field allows our students to engage themselves in outdoor activities which play an important role in their physical, mental, intellectual and social wellbeing.

We believe that education now is not only about gaining literacy but mastering skills that are necessary to stand out in the crowd as independent thinkers and responsible citizens. Therefore, as one of the leading educational institutions in Dhaka, we not only emphasize on the academic aspects but also organize a wide range of co-curricular activities and also encourage every child to participate in various extra-curricular activities to ensure that they develop complex problem-solving skills, critical thinking, intercultural understanding, mutual respect, and character-building qualities.

Throughout the academic year, our students are given the opportunity to participate in various competitions such as Spelling Bee, poetry, declamation, creative writing, extempore speech, and so on during English and Bangla Week. Education is not solely confined to the attainment of literary knowledge and language acquisition, but the development of character which eventually defines one’s individuality and existence. Keeping this important notion in mind, every year we have designated weeks to highlight important aspects of character development such as anti-bullying and cleanliness. We also observe health week to raise awareness about the necessity of a healthy mind and body among our young learners. The experiences that are gathered through these activities are practiced throughout the year, and we hope to introduce more of such events for the betterment of our students - the nation builders of tomorrow.
